Float miles of gorgeous Appalachian river from a drift boat. You cast and fish hard — leave the rowing to Trey.
Floating several miles and easily maneuvering the river to the honey holes is a simple equation for more fish in the net. For those unfamiliar with drift boats, they hold two anglers plus the guide, offer more storage than you’ll need, and are far steadier than a canoe.
Most floats take place on Blue Ridge’s Toccoa River. The Toccoa starts near Suches and runs into Lake Blue Ridge; below the dam, the tailwater flows all the way to Tennessee. Depending on the time of year, water flows, and weather, we’ll fish either the headwaters or the tailwater — we’ll sort out the best option when you book.
Other float options are available, including the Tuckasegee River in Dillsboro, NC — a terrific delayed-harvest fishery with a high number of fish per mile. Ask about river bass floats depending on the season and location.
All fishing equipment included. Lunch is included on full-day floats, not on half-day floats. Gratuity not included.
Book a drift boat float on the Toccoa and let’s cover some water.
